A Letter to Our Donors
Dear Friend,
Here at Mystic Valley Elder Services (MVES), our dedicated team works every day to enhance the quality of life for older adults and people with disabilities in the cities and towns of Chelsea, Everett, Malden, Medford, Melrose, North Reading, Reading, Revere, Stoneham, Wakefield and Winthrop. As I reflect on the past year, I am reminded of how your generosity makes our work possible—and of the direct impact that your donations have on the people we serve.
That includes people like Carol from Wakefield, who needed a new oil tank, and Kevin from Winthrop who needed help paying for his dental work. It also includes Joan from Revere who needed help paying for junk removal services, and Richard from Melrose who needed a new mattress and box spring.
All of these items were paid for through the MVES Independence Fund, a financial assistance resource of last resort for older adults or people with disabilities who reside in the 11 cities and towns served by MVES. This fund is used to cover the cost of urgently needed items or services that are essential to independent living or basic human needs. As our population ages and the price of goods and services increases, requests for this type of assistance will only continue to increase.
We invite you to join us in supporting the MVES Independence Fund to make a difference in the lives of your neighbors in need. Your support provides MVES with the resources that we need to respond to urgent requests from people like those listed here. Together, we can help our neighbors with their basic needs, allowing them to live independently in our communities, restoring their dignity and hope for the future.
